Founded in 1898, the Rhode Island Bar Association is dedicated to upholding the rule of law, advancing the legal profession, promoting the administration of justice, and serving the public through education, service, and collaboration with local and national legal communities.

The Rhode Island Bar Association offers a wide variety of CLE programs to help you meet your annual requirements set by the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Commission, the regulatory body for attorney compliance in Rhode Island. Attorneys must complete ten hours of CLE each year, including two hours focused on ethics and professionalism. Beginning July 1, 2025, at least one of those ten hours must be in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). For information on accrediting guidelines for legal ethics or diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) credits, please consult Appendix A of the MCLE Rules and Regulations.
